Field Development Engineer

EPConsult Energies (EP) is a UK-Danish independent engineering and technical consultancy firm working in renewables, oil and gas.

Our main office is in London with a satellite office in Copenhagen.

In support of our existing clients worldwide and to grow the company further, we are looking to employ an experienced, ambitious Field Development Engineer.

Essential background needed:

• Fluency in English. In addition, Spanish or Danish is a preference.
• Excellent spoken and written communication is necessary.
• Bachelor’s Degree-level qualified in relevant engineering subject (chemical, mechanical, or similar).
• Master’s Degree level qualified preferred
• 15 years’ experience in oil and gas
• Ability to manage and lead, and perform field development engineering studies

Specific experience in some of the following areas:

• Field development planning studies for oil and gas onshore and offshore developments
• Feasibility studies and conceptual engineering studies
• Value engineering studies
• Provide input to Reserves reporting studies
• Provide support for Competent Persons Report
• Process and flow assurance modelling
• Facilities definition
• PFD, UFD and Layout drawings development
• Prepare development schedule
• Performing of CAPEX and OPEX studies
• Economics
• Performing Risk Assessment
• Perform or manage HSE screening study
• Management and leading other Engineering Studies in areas of safety, risk, asset, availability, OPEX review, etc.
• Additional skills or interest in renewable studies, energy efficiency, process or environment would be a benefit.
• Flexibility and interest in being involved with other types of studies and in internal developments.

The successful candidate will be:

• Working with oil and gas projects in the offshore and onshore sector.
• Performing field development engineering studies.
• Manging teams in feasibility, concept and value engineering studies.
• Manging other studies such as availability modelling asset and risk assessment studies in renewables and oil and gas.
• Leading the preparation of proposals and responses to EOIs and ITTs for engineering contractors and operators, assisted by junior engineers.
• Leading teams and managing studies, including other discipline engineers and specialist contractors.
• Mentoring junior engineers as part of the company’s agile approach.
• Dealing with clients directly, building long-term client relationships - demonstrating technical leadership and an integrated approach to risk in design and engineering.
