PLACEMENT STUDENT OPPOTUNITY 

For Chemical / Mechanical Engineering students.

 

EPConsult Energies (EP) is a UK-Danish independent engineering and technical consultancy firm working in renewables, oil and gas. Our main office is in London, with a satellite office in Copenhagen. We are looking to employ an energetic, confident, dynamic engineer for a year in industry placement to be part of our team supporting our clients and growing our business. Our vibrant, diverse team brings together the creativity of early career professionals and the expertise of our principal engineers.. 

Location: The position will form part of our London team. This position is only available for candidates currently in the UK and with the right to work in the UK.    

Essential background needed

  • Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree level in a relevant engineering subject (process, mechanical, instrumentation, environmental, safety or similar).
  • Excellent spoken and written communication in English is necessary.
  • In addition, Spanish language skills are an advantage. 
  • Additional skills or interest in renewable energy would be a benefit.
  • Engineering skills with interest in projects and business.

The successful candidate will be

  • Working on projects for international clients
  • Working with renewable energy, oil and gas projects in the offshore and onshore sectors
  • Performing field development engineering studies
  • Supporting teams in feasibility, concept and value engineering studies
  • Supporting the development of studies such as availability modelling asset and risk assessment studies in renewables and oil and gas
  • Preparing proposals and responses to EOIs and ITTs for engineering contractors and operators
  • Dealing with clients directly, building long-term client relationships
  • Demonstrating technical leadership and an integrated approach to risk, design and engineering
